Samsung to Release New Smartwatch and Galaxy Earbuds alongside Galaxy S10

Samsung is set to launch several new gadgets alongside the much awaited Galaxy S10 in its upcoming product launch that will happen next week. A new app was uploaded to the Google Play store a couple of days ago called Galaxy Wearable, which showed several unreleased products like a sports smartwatch, a fitness wristband, and wireless earbuds.

This was first noted on the SamCentralTech Twitter account, with the post highlighting the new wearable devices—a Galaxy Sports smartwatch, the Galaxy Fit and Fit e fitness bands, and the Galaxy Buds earbuds. The Galaxy Wearable app page on Google Play showed basic renders for each device, but it doesn’t show off the exact specifications.

Photos of the new wireless earbuds have already been leaked during the past week. Many have speculated that the Galaxy Buds will be the Korean tech company’s answer to Apple’s own Airpods.

The leaked images show off the earbuds coming in a white variant, as well as a charging case that will have wireless charging. SamMobile reported the earbuds will have some level of water resistance, enough to protect it from sweat but nothing to the level of complete submersion. It’s still unsure whether or not the Galaxy Buds will use Bluetooth 5.0 and which codecs it will run, but it is said to have 8 GB of onboard memory.

Samsung’s Big Product Launch

The company will unveil these products as well as their flagship Galaxy S10 at the Galaxy Unpacked 2019 event in San Francisco on February 20. The new Galaxy S10 will release with several high-end and budget variants.

There were previous speculations that Samsung’s big product reveals will happen during the World Mobile Congress event in Barcelona this February 25, but these rumors were squashed with the many leaks surrounding the new flagship mobile phone and Samsung’s own event.

The company has been very secretive of the exact specifications of the products that will be revealed during the event. However, with only a few days left before the event, many are looking forward to the new products that Samsung will be showing off on that day.
